Jason's Apartment

Jason is off to work, he can park his car right down the stairs, next to the mailbox!

Coming home for lunch from his new work for the first time.

The entrance to his building, just up the stairs and to your left.
You can see a part of the spare bedroom window behind the tree :-)

And, right around the corner you don't see the livingroom window behind the tree, but there is the chimney from the fireplace and the second window, and the balcony behind which is the dining room ;-)

And another view from further away.

On our way home we have to stop at his car and drop off his house key. So, naturally, I have to snap a picture of his place of work. On the left of the PetSmart sign it says PetsHotel :-)

Jason's move to Round Rock pt. 2!

Finally a resting period!I did bring some leftover meat along, and finally we got to eat it, on Sunday evening. We did eat dinner at IKEA last night as we were shopping and became hungry. Couldn't get a cheaper meal then that, but it was well worth it, as we were hungry after driving to Round Rock, unpacking the trailer, the suburban and Jason's 280 ZX! Yes, every one item was packed to the brink and we only took one dinning room chair! We have to come again and bring the rest of his stuff!
Living room view from the front entrance. Kitchen on the right bedroom and bathroom to the left.
View from the entrance to the second bedroom. Again, front entrance is to the right , fireplace to the left and dinning room behind the livingroom, with entrance to Jason's bedroom in the middle, right next to the mirror. Patio on the left of the picture.
Living room view from the dinning room. On the left is the entrance to the second bedroom, kitchen on the right.
We are done for now. Jason is going to have to do the rest himself in the coming days. We are all tired, and will go to bed early. Jason will start work at 8 am! Good luck with that! And Dan and I will be driving home :-)
Might take a few more pictures tomorrow. Until then, check out the link to Limestone Ranch on the right!

Jason's move to Round Rock!

First kiss in the new place!
Jason and Tiffany are standing in the living room. You can see the open bathroom for the second bedroom, and the kitchen breakfast bar.
Picture from the hallway, entrance on right. Tiffany brought sandwich food and we were eating before we started to unpack. Living room is behind Dan and dining area on the side of Jason. You can see the patio door reflecting in the mirror. Behind Tiffany is the kitchen and washer & dryer area. Going through the dinning room you get to the master bedroom.
Dan and Jason had to drag the washer and dryer up to the second floor. Just one straight staircase up :-) Tiffany and I were beeing very helpful, holding the door open and taking pictures is hard work for us! - Actually, no one was taking pictures of us working hard. We carried boxes after boxes, DVD cases and more boxes!
Hey, I found the stash. Let's stop and have a party
Jason did a real good job packing. I wished he had taken less tape, as I had a very hard time to unwrap everything.
Jason and Tiffany putting the new bed together. It took a long time at IKEA to pick what he wanted and then to put it together, but they did good! Have to take a picture of that one also, but there are way too much boxes in his bedroom!
Check out the next blog, more pictures!

Austin

So, we get this phone call on Friday from Jason he has been hired for the job as Assistant Assistant Manager at PetHotel - run by PetSmart - in Round Rock. He stays down there to find an apartment (easier said then done) just to call us on Saturday night because he and Tiffany are to overwhelmed to go on and spend the big bucks! Poor kids. Anyways, Dan and I drove to Round Rock on Sunday morning, looked at the apartment, gave our blessing, co-signed the papers (Jason has no rental history as he was renting from us, would we give him a bad rap?), went to IKEA (if you haven't been you ought to look for one), went for dinner at "Bennigan's" and started our 3.15 hr drive home! We made it back by 12:36 and I fell to bed totally exhausted. As Dan got to sleep on the way down there as I drove, he had to drive home. I did stay awake till Brownwood, but then it overcame me and I slept the 1 hr back, with breaks :-). And of course my alarm woke me up at 5:36 this morning - Ring, Ring, it's time to get up! Oh, well. What do we have kids for?
If he gets the apartment ( we won't know for a couple of days, Wednesday they say) we will be moving him on Saturday as he starts his new job on Monday! Yeah! Finally! A job in Round Rock. Now lets keep talking about the wedding plans...
No pictures, as we didn't take any, but you will see them next Monday! Or maybe before that if I take the laptop down there :-)

Here is a link to check out. I think I'm going on a tour in March, who is coming along?

Winter does not seize to exist in Abilene!

Yes, it looks like it never will quit snowing in Abilene...but only a dusting at the time :-)
I braved the cold and stepped out the back door!
And this is what my eyes can see!
Meanwhile my sister is on her honeymoon in Hawaii and looks like a tourist!
