Merry Christmas - Froehliche Weihnachten!
After Church (Candlelight Services) and a dinner at home for the two of us, we unpacked our presents. There wasn't supposed to be anything, as we already had our big gifts, but Santa was good to us anyways! We must have been good this year.
Dan got another C-130 picture for his office, a Chicago CD, and a Starbucks gift card (from Sandra)!
I, on the other hand, got a box of Winchester bullets and a Hallmark Barbie Ornament (#14 in the series, and I have them all, after all we are the same age, she just holds up better). A book on tape from my mom, plus two table cloths, one to stitch :-), and one to use! And Sandra did get me a gift card also...what would I do without my sister???!!! (Less gray hair for one!)
And we can't forget Jaeger, he got something from Jason, a busy bone...kept him busy while we tried to take some pictures of him. He wont get it to eat until Wednesday evening...some things will just have to be savored

He keeps trying to unwrap it...and he is doing pretty good. Smart dog.

Just finished another book
This book I just read is a Historical Fiction and very well written. If you are interested in Iranian History, this might be a book for you. Here is a link you might like to go to and listen to the authors interview Anita Amirrezvani
I am not going to tell you anything else about this book. Read it for yourself. And yes, Sandra, it is an Adult Bestseller :-) I do read them every so often also, besides our Middle School book selections!

What you don't see is me freezing in 22 Degrees Fahrenheit with no jacket outside! I didn't realize it was freezing outside...but someone has to get the paper in and read the ads...who else is awake? I only hear some dogs shaking their collars!

An Update from me :-)
Thursday I got to go on a Field Trip with some 7th Graders to the Grace Museeum here in Abilene. The show is titled Bound for Glory: America in Color 1929-1943 ( http://www.thegracemuseum.org/ ). As you can see my group enjoyed playing on the musical art that had nothing to do with the Depression Area...oh, well...they had fun :-) 
Saturday Morning Dan and I put up the Christmas tree...the lights are on...where is Tiffany to help decorate it?

Saturday afternoon I was off with Karen, Molly, Hannah, & Kristy to the Philharmonic Christmas Show at the Civic Center. We stopped for Starbucks first.
And Yesterday Jaeger received yet another gift from Jason. A memory foam bed...and he likes it...he didn't move from it at all!
It is the blue rectangle in the middle of the white towel. I have to put the rug back in that room. But it needed washing and took a little longer to try...no more towels for the dog...now that he has a lampwool covered bed (in his new kennel) and a memory foam bed for all the other times. He is supposed to be a watchdog...yet he is a pampered lap puppy....go figure!
