Dogs @ Play!

So, we heard Rhowdie bark and bark and finally we went to the window to check. This is what we saw, and no more barking either.
(Also, Rhoside war am bellen und als wir dann enlich mal aus dem Fenster sahen haben wir gesehen wie die zwei am spielen waren, und kein bellen mehr.)

And it didn't stop for quite a while.
Jaeger did end up running away behind the pool and Rhowdie didn't follow...he does keep getting side-tracked every so often and forgets what he was doing :-)
(Und sie haben nicht aufgehoert mit dem spielen, es ging immer so weiter bis Jaeger hinter den pool rannte und Rhowdie nicht nach rannte. Rhowdie vergisst oefter mal was er gerade am machen war :-))

Friday I went to lunch, best Chinese Restaurant in town :-) SzeChuan. They were closed for 18 month...I can't believe it was that long, but now they have a new location and had their grand opening. We were there just before 11 when they open and we had to WAIT!!! But it was good!
Then we went to a movie, looking for something wholesome? Go and see Enchanted, but you might want to take some kids along :-) But it was a ball anyways. Then taking the two dogs for a walk in the park. Luckily I had help and you can see the pictures below from the last blog.
Saturday Kristy came with Houston to my house and we took the three dogs around the neighboorhood. Have yet to drive the distance to see how many miles we walked, but here are pictures from before we walked...and Dan did not go with us. And as I am taking the pictures, I am not in them :-)

Now we have two dogs slabbering up the door...and Rhowdie even stands up against it...just waiting for those muddy paw prints :-)

But then I tired them out with a walk in the park today...1.5 miles, with two dogs, okay, I had help.
Rhowdie went down the slide twice, once with each girl, and Jaeger did make it once with me...Have to rethink taking him again. I don't think it'll work again.

And who says Rhowdie doesn't bark? Even Jaeger moved away from him. You should have heard him howl before this one though. He was with his tail towards the door and Jaeger with his muzzle...untill I had to open the door to get Rhowdies noise.
They do like playing with each other and eye each other alot. I'm going for a walk with the dogs in a bit and then we'll take more pictures :-) Upload them and write another blog...It'll be the blog of the dogs from now on...just kidding...there are other things in life :)

We're back from our two day trip!

Merry Christmas - Froehliche Weihnachten!

After Church (Candlelight Services) and a dinner at home for the two of us, we unpacked our presents. There wasn't supposed to be anything, as we already had our big gifts, but Santa was good to us anyways! We must have been good this year.



















Dan got another C-130 picture for his office, a Chicago CD, and a Starbucks gift card (from Sandra)!




















I, on the other hand, got a box of Winchester bullets and a Hallmark Barbie Ornament (#14 in the series, and I have them all, after all we are the same age, she just holds up better). A book on tape from my mom, plus two table cloths, one to stitch :-), and one to use! And Sandra did get me a gift card also...what would I do without my sister???!!! (Less gray hair for one!)













And we can't forget Jaeger, he got something from Jason, a busy bone...kept him busy while we tried to take some pictures of him. He wont get it to eat until Wednesday evening...some things will just have to be savored :-)

















He keeps trying to unwrap it...and he is doing pretty good. Smart dog.

Just finished another book

This book I just read is a Historical Fiction and very well written. If you are interested in Iranian History, this might be a book for you. Here is a link you might like to go to and listen to the authors interview Anita Amirrezvani
I am not going to tell you anything else about this book. Read it for yourself. And yes, Sandra, it is an Adult Bestseller :-) I do read them every so often also, besides our Middle School book selections!

What you don't see is me freezing in 22 Degrees Fahrenheit with no jacket outside! I didn't realize it was freezing outside...but someone has to get the paper in and read the ads...who else is awake? I only hear some dogs shaking their collars!
