26 °F / -3 °C
Light Freezing Rain Mist
Humidity: 96%
Dew Point: 25 °F / -4 °C
Wind: 21 mph / 33 km/h / 9.3 m/s from the North

Pressure: 30.39 in / 1029 hPa (Rising)
Windchill: 12 °F / -11 °C
Visibility: 2.0 miles / 3.2 kilometers
UV: 0 out of 16 (Hey, look, no UV rays! We can go outside :-))
Clouds: Overcast 300 ft / 91 m (Above Ground Level)
Update: So I just checked the weather in Austin where they have 56!! Then I thought lets check Quanitco and Boston and have symphaty for Tiffany and Sandra and Clayton...but no, they have it warmer then Abilene with 40 degrees Fahrenheit!!! What in the world is going on?
We here in Abilene keep hovering on 25-26 degrees!!!!! Oh, well...it's fun with the freezing drizzle...especially when you get to stay at work till 4 :-(
Here is what Wonderground.com has to say about Abilene:
Now
Areas of freezing drizzle and light freezing rain will continue across the Big Country this morning behind a strong Arctic cold front. Gusty winds of 20 mph will lead to wind chill readings in the teens. Patchy fog will reduce visibilities down to 1 mile at times. If you are driving across the Big Country...especially on Interstate 20...be sure to drive carefully. Elsewhere across the Heartland and Concho Valley...the Arctic front will continue to move southward with falling temperatures and gusty winds expected this morning.

  1. It's been CRAZY! One of the coolest things about living on the prairie is that life will never be boring because the weather is so schizophrenic.

For example, yesterday I scraped the ice from our cars...and this afternoon I'll be running in shorts at the park when it's SIXTY-EIGHT degrees--and in the 70s Sunday and Monday!!!
